A new video I made will be screening Sunday, Sept 6th as part of the Portland Institute for Contemporary Art's TBA Festival. The screening curated by Melody Owen, features work by artists Boris Achour, Guler Ates, Barak Bar-am, Jean Charles Blanc, E*rock, Liz Haley, John Hey, Gretchen Hogue, Cassandra C. Jones, Alexandra Lakin, Chris Lael Larson, Zak Margolis, Alicia McDaid, Ma Qiusha, Daragh Reeves, Michael Shamberg, Sigtryggur Sigmarsson, Catarina Simoes, Matt Underwood, and Ola Vasiljeva. It will be taking place at the Northwest Film Center Whitsell Auditorium at Portland Art Museum, 1219 SW Park Portland OR at 2:30 pm. Tickets are available here. so much to share right now! I'm doing a few things in nyc in december. firsties: along with Cat Mazza, Christy Matson, and Cody Trepte, I am participating in a panel discussion at the New Museum called Craft Hackers. "Craft Hackers is a panel discussion among artists who use crafting techniques to explore high-tech culture and the relationship between needlework and computer programming." That is taking place on December 12th at 7:30pm and it's currated by Marisa Olson, more info here. Totally psyched

also, i am selling my wares at the 2008 la superette! la superette is a temporary store which sells functional and affordable art in multiples, by many people. this only happens for two days once a year, so if you're in new york, check it out! the details are still fermenting, so check --> here for store hours & location.

lastly, i had a piece in a show called “Sustainable: Visions for a Living Planet” it was a print show, which was a funny thing for me to think about. i printed the words "nothing is sacred, everything is holy" on fake wood grain contact paper. i used water soluble ink, which means that since it was printed on vinyl, the text would self-destruct over time. if plastered to a wall outdoors, the text would completely disapear after a bit of rain. I signed and numbered the prints in permenant ink.

i'm in a group show at stairwell gallery, opening april 6th... probably around 6pm. stairwell is located at 504 broadway in providence. also in the show are aki goto, joseph buzzel, masaru aikawa, mat brinkman, tetsunori tawaraya, and tomoko kokubo. i'm showing new stuff that nobody has seen yet! i think there's performances the night of the opening.

there's a couple things coming up in december... on sunday december 9th i'll be selling some needlepoint bling at the Bazaar Bizarre in Boston. check the links for the details on that. also, i'll be selling some bling at La Superette in NYC. that will be a several day, temporary store type thing and will be open december 1st, 2nd, 8th & 9th. there will probably be some kinda opening event on the 1st. also i tweaked some deign stuff on the site... yep.

my oscillator cabinets are in a show called "on the record" @ Kathleen Cullen Fine Arts. It opens this thursday, the 28th 6-8pm. also, a new iteration of my software project is in a show called "Rumors" at Current Gallery. That one opens saturday july 14th 7-10pm. hope you can make it :)

i just put up documentation of my thesis exhibition. it's filed under "display" check it out. also, my computer is basicly finished! the software and hardware still need some minor tweaking, but it's in a fully functional finished looking state. check it out here

i took down a bunch of old work and replaced it with a whole lot of new work. i had been holding off on putting this new stuff up because most of it is in progress, but i decided it made sense to put it up because it's what i'm most excitied about right now. i'll be updating the project pages as they progress. i also tweaked the design a bit on this page, and a lot on the rest of the site. enjoy, and let me know if you experience any errors.

the sicilian funrise / fortress of amplitude/extreme animals show and art auction were a whole ton of fun. thanks to everyone who came and had a blast. cardboard box raves and massages were had by all

march 22nd there will be a (free) benefit show for the moka joka (alfred university's non-profit/student run coffee shop). extreme animals as well as various other paper rad bands will be playing music and there will be hand crafted things for sale. the show will be happening on the 2nd floor of harder hall in the area of the student gallery/moka joka. the adress for harder hall is 2 pine street alfred, ny 14802. come out and show your support for good music and local business. email me for directions
